Are you interested in vegetarianism or veganism and over a certain age?
- V for Life run a free national monthly lunch club in partnership with Age UK on the 4th Tuesday of every month. It’s open to vegans, vegetarians, and meat reducers aged 65 and over, living anywhere in the UK. This is currently run online via Zoom. A great social activity for people who may still be shielding, or who would simply like to meet others and relieve feelings of isolation. A recipe is provided each week and we meet virtually to chat and enjoy the recipe.I’ve attached the flyer.
- They also run free regular one off and 6-week cookery courses for older adults, often in partnership with Age UK’s across the UK. They are currently running these courses virtually via Zoom or Facebook but will run in person again once restrictions permit.
The group also help in other ways to help reduce isolation and build new friendships. If you want to know more about the work they do you can find out more information via their website here.
